NCqA PCMH Changes to Prepare for & utilize in 2022
PCMH is rooted in continuous quality improvement. NCQA utilizes data they collect from practices who obtain and maintain PCMH recognition to guide decisions about their recognition program. They involve leaders in health care, utilize data they collect through HEDIS, health plan accreditation and other quality programs to determine how and when changes with the PCMH program are needed. They are responsive to the health care landscape and challenges primary care is experiencing. As a result, NCQA encourages primary care practices to continue to improve, adapt and evolve in a manner that is responsive to the changing health care environment.
